About the Book:
An immortal war has been brewing in the darkness . . . And now one woman has stumbled into the shadows.
Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking. But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn. Suddenly she finds herself in a world she's only imagined in her worst nightmares.
At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master vampire who thought he'd seen it all. Then Kira appears, this fearless, beautiful . . . human who braved death to rescue him. Though he burns for her, keeping Kira in his world means risking her life. Yet sending her away is unthinkable.
But with danger closing in, Mencheres must choose either the woman he craves, or embracing the darkest magic to defeat an enemy bent on his eternal destruction.
Mencheres has not been one of my favorite characters through the Vampire Huntress Series, and knowing this has obviously made me reluctant to review this title. My foremost concern was that due to my bias I would not be able to review this title effectively. So, here is to one of many times that an incredible author has proven me entirely wrong. Frost takes this slightly shady character, and transforms him into a dedicated and companionate personality that will dissolve fans previous impressions. After many years of uncertainty, I found myself falling head over heals in love this newly developed character. What had always seemed a character of mystery is finally unfolded to allow readers a more in-depth look into his true self. Even more surprising, I was captivated and overwhelmed by Frost’s newest addition. Kira is such a strong and independent character that will shock and awe fans due to her abundant comparisons to the beloved Cat. I was enticed by this character from the start; rooting for the power and intensity that seemed to be simmering under her cool exterior. True to her talent, Frost combines these amazing characters offering an addictive and spell binding love story that readers will crave. As part of the Night Huntress World spin off series this should be the only novel highlighting this couple, but I am anxious for their appearances in novels to come. Frost will knock readers socks of yet again with this action packed and thrilling adventure.

ill add it to my tbr pile for the future though
